Shrink Wrap Question

It seems like this is a low-level question for this forum, but I am wondering whether or not shrinkwrap is reusable or if I should discard it when I unwrap my 21 Ft Bayliner this spring. I have heard that it is useful for multiple years, but I am not positive. If so, how would one go about reusing it? Thanks in advance.

Craig

Re: Shrink Wrap Question

Im sure no expert but my guess is no reuse on shrink wrap. Also if Im not mistaken shrink wrap is not that expensive in the first place.

Right, Craig.

Shrinkwrap is not a popular topic on the Outboard Non-repair forum.

I will move this to Boat Topics.

Re: Shrink Wrap Question

Hmmm, I wouldn't reuse it. The biggest cost in doing shrink wrap is the heat gun. On the iboats.com mall the shrink wrap is $116.40 while the heat gun is $875.33.

I think most people don't use shrink wrap as individuals because of the gun price and it takes some practice.

Re: Shrink Wrap Question

Put it away someplace. You can use it as a sled next winter. I once had over 30 people on one piece going downhill at breakneck speeds. Amazing stuff!

Hhmmm! sledding on shrink wrap, that had to be a hillarious sight. How is Morse Rabidfish? is it thaw out yet? A giant piece of tarp for less then 50 bucks and you can use it for many years. It works just as well!
