side bowl carb rebuild kit contents?

I am ordering a carb rebuild kit from oldmercs.com and am wondering if anyone knows if it contains the spring on top of the float? I have the white plastic floats in the carbs now and I think they are fine? Should you replace them when rebuilding carbs? The top carb leaks fuel while running.

You probably will not get the float spring with the kit. You should get the carb gaskets only. The spring comes with the new float. Make sure the floats are not cracked or disolved. Order new needles and seats if the leak does not go away.

THanks, I went ahead and ordered new floats. They only had the black ones though...is that a problem?

I do not know anything about black floats. The ones I saw were either beige/yellow foam (original) or white hard plastic (replacement)
