went to take off the cover yesterday and found the driver side--side glass shattered can only assume that i threw a rock or something when i was mowing the other day--anyway--trying to research my options-- i pretty much figured it will be a nightmare to find a replacement panel and iboats only sells whole windshields--what are your opinions on going to a local hardware store and buying a piece of plexiglass and forming to fit--i have all windows tinted so i'm thinking it will not show too bad it is a 1987 bayliner capri 1700 cr--thanks in advance and i look forward to your answers as usual btw i adapted and overcame so i could get the family on the water--i removed the glass panel and installed an aluminum brace for the front glass and away we went--took pictures for the insurance company first though

Thats what insurance is for... Proboably will end up replacing the whole thing. IF the boats a beater I wouldnt worry about it. If oyu every want to sell and get the most for it you should fix it right.

Bayliner is the Chevy of boats--lots were made, lots of parts were interchangeable, and lots are in boat junkyards. Try finding one and buying the panel used.
