side vent window???

i am looking at buying a used johnson motor. the seller says that a side vent window may need replacing. what is this? i have never heard of such a thing on a motor... any ideas?

unfortunately i dont know the model or the serial... its part of a boat+motor deal, and all i really need is the motor...

maybe on the boat: motors don't have windows

thats what i thought too it turns out it was misinformation, nothing wrong with the motor.<br /><br />could the model be V45L-18C??? <br /><br />if so, where could i find more info/specs on it?

Older cars and trucks had side vent windows, before everyone whimped out and had to have A/C. My Old 78 F250 has them.
