I am going to add a Sideshift bow thruster to my 2006 Monterey 302. My plan is to put a battery isolator on the feed line coming to the windlass. Then come off the isolator to the 850 CCA cranking battery in the forward cabin under the front area. Then run the battery line to the thruster. Hoping to find someone that agrees or disagrees with my plan. Asking for help and advice.

Is the isolator being used so the Bat can be charged by motor or onboard charger?

The isolator should not come off the windless feed if the windless cable currently comes from the Start Bat.

Your adding a Bat for the thruster, so the Isolator should come from the Alternator to a 2 bank isolator, and then one lead goes to the Start Bat and other goes to House Bat. Using a ACR to charge the House Bat would be better

This is a isolator, use Electronics connection as to the thruster
