Sierra Power Pack, Which way is up?

I have a sierra power pack to replace the original on my '73 65 Horse Evinrude, but I can't tell which end should be pointed up, the only thing it has in common with the original is a notch the is on the top of the original is also on the Sierra, is that enough to go by?<br /><br />Corey
