I'm in the middle of rebuild. Block is at Machine shop to bore 2 cylinders and hone all. I have decided to go with the Sierra "0.015 over" piston set for the two cylinders that are to be bored. For the other 4 standard size cylinders( with my existing OEM pistions), I want to go with Sierra rings because I can order them individually(per cylinder). With Merc/ OEM suppliers, it appears that I can only order the entire 6 cylinder set of Standard rings so obviously I dont want to extra.
My question is this: Has anyone had problems, or would advise against using the Standard size Sierra rings on OEM Standard size pistons. Seems like a silly question in a way since they should be made to the same specs/ tolerances. Heck, prolly made by the same Chinese manufacturer. But nevertheless, just thought I'd throw the question out here.

Way way down south(south america) and they will be fine on a fishing motor.
