I installed a sirius dock which allows me to operated my sattelite radio from the head unit. The only problem is the antenna. I had two options from my stereo shop. Hidden under the front of the instrument panel facing up and out toward the windshield, or on a metal plate drilled to the dash. I went with the hidden option. Now I barely recieve a signal. I was looking at a Terk SIRMarine antenna that I can attach to my boats tower. Has anyone used this antenna or do you have any other ideas.

I realize it isn't hidden but it isn't like it is illegal. I just ran mine in front of the windshield on the passenger side. Used a little glue that will come off when I need it to and it works great.

IMO it's a waste of money to buy a dedicated satellite antenna.
The signal will pass thru glass and fiberglass. Sounds like your antenna is blocked by wires or metal....
I just lay the little puck antenna at the base of the windshield, not attached to anything but the radio. Never had a reception problem.
