So my sister and fiance didnt put the plugs in the hull and it filled with water.( They tried starting it ( and finally towed it back. Upon putting it on the trailer the got it to start. This was 3 weeks ago. This weekend i went to use it it wouldnt start. New plugs nothing, starting fluid in the carbs finally it turned over and ran.

Put it in the water would go more then 8 mph, figured therer migh be more water in the system i decided to let it run. Still no good. Trailered it, dumped stabil in gas and carbs to remove moisture. Ran better still not 100% . retrailered it found the oil seals coming from the crankshaft where blown binding the prop shaft. 1. Would this be caused from the dunk? 2. Are they hard to replace? 3. What should somthing like this cost?

Re: sister sank waveraider need help.

So i got the motor out, exhaust off and the seals out. pistons dont look burnt up so thats makes me happy. Bearings are good.

So now while i have it all out is there anything else i should do other then cleaning exhaust ports, new exhaust gasket, new oil seals, and seafoaming the whole machine?
