Wanted to do a little maintenance work on my 2005 50 elpto, changed the plugs and gapped them to .040" changed the inline filter and changed the fuel line from the onboard tank. Went to marine shop to get the stuff. Got everything done, started right up then is starving for fuel. I was sold 3/8" line, I didn't know what fuel line I needed so the shop sold me the 3/8ths. A couple of questions can the fuel line be too long and does anyone know what size fuel line I should have? I can't tell with the old line. Thanks

I have the same motor and it uses 5/16 ID fuel line. You ask about the length of the line are you talking about the line from the tank to the motor or the lines under the hood?

Sorry it took me so long to answer, I was talking about from the tank to the motor. I did find other problems that I fixed....leaking fuel line from filter to carb. Got that taken care of now have to get it in the water and reset idle.

⅜ will runs 90 up. Tank to engine, for portable tanks ran like 5-6'.
