Im trying to make sure my new battery is big enough/has proper cranking amps for my boat. the old battery does NOT have info on it. I looked EVERYWHERE. Its a willard and a 24 class battery.

I have a gm vortec v6 motor and I want to make sure the battery has enough amps to turn it over at the proper speed. this on now is a 675MCA and a 500CCA.

How can I attempt to find out what this engine needs to start properly. its the starter battery for it obviously.

Thanks

You could call any boat shop and ask such an easy question. I suggest at least 700CCA andin this case bigger is better.

Size and budget being the limiting factors, there is nothing wrong with putting in the highest capacity battery you care to

1- Pay For
2- Wedge into the space
