I have a Skeeter 2006 WX 1880 that I am having an electrical problem with and need some suggestions as to where to look. I have power to all the accessories on the power switch but no power to the keys for either the main motor (200 HPDI) or kicker motor (T8). I have checked all the fuses and they are good. I also looked at the reset switch on the cable to the battery and it was not tripped. Where should I look next?

Re: Skeeter WX 1880 Electrical Problems

You just described a problem with one the two electrical systems on a boat. The accessories work because they are powered through the smaller wires attached to the battery. The engines get their power through the larger battery cables. You either have them connected wrong, the connections are corroded, or the fuses under the cowl of both motors are blown. Checking the cables at the battery seems logical since both engines are dead. It would be unlikely that the cables at the engine are both loose or bad.
