I have used SkegGards on several engines, MH, both to repair and to protect undamaged skegs.<br /><br />I highly recommend them. They take rock hits that would damage a bare skeg and just bounce off with only a slight marring.<br /><br />Moving this to Outboard Non-repair.
Musky,<br />I have a "Skeggard" on the Evinrude taht powers my bass boat and I think it has saved my skeg on more than one occasion, all future motors will also have one.
