Skeg sizes...

I'm looking into a skeggard for my 1980 70hp Johnson however the parts list that Skeggard has doesn't seem to include my year motor. They do have a one for years 1984 to 2002 for 60hp - 70hp and I actually spoke with a rep. at Skeggard who couldn't tell me 100% if it was compatible.

I just bought the boat and the skeg is in serious need of TLC. Anyone know if a 84-02 70hp skeg should match up with a 1980 70hp skeg?
