I have a bent skeg on my alpha drive is there any way to straighten it

A friend of mine told me to use a rubber mallet to bend mine back. (tapping lightly) The guy at the prop shop said he could fix it for under a $100, but he was going to reweld a new one and then paint it. I never had the nerve to hit mine though.

you can use two hammers one like and anvil and hit it with the other<br /><br />unless its bent bad and causeing a problem i just leave well enough alone you can only unbend it so many times <br /><br />tommays

If you straighten it (or if it breaks), consider getting a skeggard to repair and protect it from further damage.
