ski and wake board

Hi, Im new to this but how do people manage to water ski and wake board with a bass boat? I own a 1989 bass boat 175hp v6 mercury i know i wont have a problem with speed but how do people get on and off the boat? and how does the set up work?

We perfer to get in the water with the wakeboard ON buy having someone help you get the board over the side and slide into the water CAREFULLY


With a ski it is pretty easy to get it on in the water


You need a swim ladder of some kind to get back on the boat and we usaly have someone that takes the board or ski from the person in the water before they climb in with the motor OFF

in my bote. any time ANYONE is in the water within ten feet of the bote the motor gets turned off. if the skier/boarder. is on the rope waiting to have the slack taken out. he swims away from the bote till he is way past the danger area.

as far a a bass bote, it would be easy to have a remoavable tower on a rig like that.

but you prob do need some type of ladder
