Ski pulling...cleats or eyelets?

I have a 1993 Bayliner Capri 17'5" with an outboard 88 HP 2 stroke Evinrude. The boat moves fine, has plenty of power. When pulling a skier or tube, should I use the aft cleats on the top of the transom, or use the two eyelets on the back? I have a Y ski harness with buoys on it, so I'm set there. Just not sure where to tie down at.

Hopefully they are U-Bolts on the back - which you should be using.
With two tubes, I have been known to use my cleats, but I have 1/4" steel plate backers underneath.

Thats what I figured...the reason I ask is that the eyelets are pretty far down on the transom. I know the harness has buoys on it to keep it out of the prop, but it still concerns me

with load on it the harness gets pulled straight out so you won't have to worry about the prop getting it, even if there weren't floats on it.

If I let my Brother-in-law drive the ski boat, he somehow manages to run over the tow cable and chew up the prop and cable. I therefore shorten the tow bridle accordingly. Use the stern eyes
