Not sure what type of pylon I need. Can someone give me a link or pic of the one that will go on my boat. Just in case the pic doesnt show, its a bowrunner with an outboard on back.
Thanks. Looking at my boat, where would be the best place to mount it? Would it be right behind the seat on that small round section or would it be in the well area right in front of the motor?

Thats really the problem on a factory Ski Boat there is frame work built into the stringer system to support the MAIN BASE and give a place for hardware that wont pull out of the deck.

The REAR two legs are inportant BUT are being pushed down the front one is being PULLED BACK AND UP.

On a lot of boats there is nothing there but plywood that was not ment to hold a plylon so it goes on a boat buy boat case.

On my boat there is a deck hatch that would let you use through bolts BUT there is also a GAS TANK under the deck that you have to look out for.

Also plyons are usally pretty far forward

And we really cant see much of you boat in that shot!

tommays

Jixx,
On my boat, I simply use the 2 stern lifting eyes for occasional recreational skying. I also obtained a "bridle strap", this will help equalizes the tension applied to both eyes as well as helping the rope not to get tangled with the prop.
Did you already rule out on this method? I couldn't tell from your picture if your boat has this stern lifting eyes or not...
Btw, I think Tommays has good explanations regarding the need to have a strong decking for a pylon...
