Ok. Thanks. Pull the prop im guessing. Will it be evident?
Nope, probably not any outward sides of trauma,....
The prop has an internal rubber hub that can break free, 'n slip when under load,.....
When you say, "Boat wont engage into gear",.....
Is the boat on the hard, 'n yer observing the prop in the air,..??
Or is the boat in the water, 'n you can't see the prop, but the boat doesn't move from a lack of prop thrust,..??
If on the hard,..... Pull the drive, 'n see whether the drive coupler is blown, it mounts the the flywheel on the motor, 'n connects to the drive,.....
With the drive off, you can manually turn the drive over, 'n see whether the drive has an internal problem,.....
If in the water, the prop can be tested by scribing a line on the prop, across the drive hub, 'n then run it through the gears,.....
If the line shifts, the prop hub is blown, you'll need a new prop,.....
If the line still aligns, you've got a coupler, or internal drive problem,....
