slelectric shift wiring

Hi people,<br />Quick question on assembling my leg, Where does the shift wiring exit the leg under the powerhead?<br /><br />I can't seem to see anywhere for the wires to come out. The diagrams I have gotten from the dealer don't show it and the mechanics don't know about engines from the 60's.<br /><br />Thanks for your time guys

Taking it from the lower unit :<br />Wire comes from LU , exits the legg here ( thru this cover on the side )<br />From this outlett it goes outside the leg ( but behind the outher cover ), and ends up on the right side of the themostate housing .<br /><br />This is from the engine in my signature.
