Slick boards for rivited boats?

I would like to use those *slick* board or board covers for my tracker. However I keep reading that they are not recomended for rivited boats (which mine is)

Any opinions on this?

Ayuh,... I don't know Why they wouldn't work,...

Although the rivets might rip up the plastic...
