A wonderful evening on the Narragansett bay, doing a mellow cruise with the wife. Boat is running like a champ but its time to go home. As per normal practice, wife backs the trailer down the ramp for me to drive on the boat. I'm with the boat tied up at the courtesy ramp watching her back the trailer when I realize "first time she's done this at night." So, in my infinite wisdom, I decide to hop off the boat, across the courtesy ramp, and onto the boat ramp with my mag-light to help make sure she backs down just far enough to get the bunks in the water (not much lighting at this place). That's when I realized my shoes ain't got no tread. The edge of the ramp has a 4X4 which I step, and promptly slip off of. Half of me stays on the ramp, the other half drops into the 5' of water on the side(image=ugly; splits). Lesson: slow it down at night dummy! Anyways, other than a big "strawberry" on my left thigh and some missing skin on the other shin, I'm better for wear. Sorry it wasn't any more exciting than that.
