We are desperately trying to locate a patio door lock/latch for our 1990 Carver 3867 Santego. I've tried calling Carver who sent me to a distributor who hasn't returned any of my calls. This part is probably specific to Carver as I've tried getting parts from the local Home depot, Lowes Etc. Also I've tried local patio/window door companies still with no luck. This door latch/lock seem to be a unique part specific for our vessel. Can anyone suggest any help in obtaining a new one. I only really need the new cylinder that the key goes into but it's quite unique too and nobody (even locksmiths) have this type of cylinder. I'll post a couple of pics of the cylinder for your reference.

Can't help you with the part, but I am about to buy the same boat. Have you had any problems finding the other parts for the door , rollers ect...
Also the hand rails for the swim platform are missing any Ideas on where to find those?
Thanks,
Gregg

Check the company TaylorMade; the lock on my 1989 Santego 27 is from them, as are the side windows.

I would check with a locksmith. That setup could be used in many things they have worked on.

Re: Sliding Patio Door handle/lock

Most items have been readily available through Marine Exchange or Stores like West Marine however this lockset is specific and I finally found it from a company in upstate New York and Wow was it pricey!!! $300 with shipping!! No help from local locksmiths as I checked with 4 of them to no avail. Sometime you just gotta bite the bullet. As for all her "jewelry" we are replace almost all the chrome with Stainless Steel from the fishing rod holders to the filler caps on the gas tanks, waste and water inlets. Also replaced all the glass/plexiglass with new stuff as the old is pretty cracked out through normal wear. All new hinges on anything that wasn't already stainless. We've been making most purchases online and hunt around for specials on free or low shipping costs. You can usually get away from paying tax and the prices are almost ALWAYS cheaper than the handlry or local marine store.
