Sliding Seat for Jon Boat

Maybe it's just me--but I like to be more comfortable than regular seats offer. The tiller is pretty much on center,so I want to be off-set when running & centered to fish.I'm thinking a sliding swivel seat mount would be the ticket.Iboats carry this product,as do many.Question is,has anyone here tried it and what were the results?thax

I think you should be looking for a track mounted seat. The track attaches to the top (or maybe the front & back) of the bench & allows the seat to be positioned anywhere along the track.

I don't think a typical sliding swivel seat mount will give you nearly the lateral movement you'd need to be off-center to operate the motor, then centered while fishing. For me, that would need to be nearly 15" of sliding from centered to starboard to comfortably operate the tiller handle.

The track & seat system are available on iboats.
