I have a early 2002 Performance LCS18 trailer that came with my boat , not sure if the springs were ever changed out . I looked at a few sites and from what i can tell there is a few different slipper springs I narrowed it down to a 4 leaf radius style slipper spring. I called a good 6 or 7 trailer shops around here and NONE ever heard of radius slipper spring (or at least call it that ) I looked again online and thou a few list them as 24 1/2 , some list it as a 24 5/8 th from eye center to end of spring . Where i see a big difference is the arch -- Measuring the way shown online ( center of eye to the top side of the top leaf most show 4 inch or 4 1/4 inch . Mine measures 4 3/4 . Will this just slightly lower the trailer or create other issues ?

Re: Slipper spring and arch question

It's probably your terminology. It's a Slipper Spring with a radius end.

The ach is larger because the load has caused the spring to sag and deform overtime. Pretty good chance the spring was 4-4.25" when new.
