I have a 2011 Southbay, when I bought it it had a gray rubber/vinyl covering on the for lack of a better word, swim platform/motor mounting area.
A few months after I bought it they called and said there was a problem with it and they were replacing it with a better upgrade. They upgraded to a plastic/vinyl covering that looks like wood but it is not. (The really nice ones actually have a material where you can sand it down and stain it but I was not paying for that upgrade)
The current covering gets really slippery when wet, to the point that this summer several people have slipped and fallen on it.
I called the dealer and they said that no one really complained about that before and that I should use dawn dishwashing soap to wash it.
Is anyone else everhave a similar problem?
I want to find some sort of clear coat paint or sealer that has some grit to it to give traction. Any ideas?
