I'm new to outboards so your help would be appreciated. I have a Chrysler 105 ( late 70's I believe. Not sure on the year ). She will move into gear forward and reverse fine. Low rpm's she behaves normally. But as I bring on the rpm she slips into neutral. Do these units have a clutch? How do I repair?

Yes, it has a dog clutch. The gears and the drive clutch have dogs that engage each other. With age they round off and will slip out of gear. The repair is to disassemble the lower unit and grind the dogs square again. If you can't do that, you need to buy a gear pack--better to look at the auctions and buy a whole lower unit.
