Re: slipping outta gear

They do not slip in and out of gear. If it did you would hear a huge clunk when it went back in. Two most likely possibilities coupler or prop hub. If the coupler fails it is not likely to start working again, my vote is the prop hub is spun. The less likely thing would be a prop cavitation problem. You could try putting the old prop back on.

Re: slipping outta gear

what is prop cavitation ? and how can i fix this?

Basically you are introducing air in around the prop, and the prop is trying to push air bubbles, rather than pushing against water. Here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cavitation A damaged prop or a too small prop (spins at too high speed and looses "traction") could be a cause. If your old prop worked OK give it a try.
