Re: slow speed carb needle tip broke off in horizontal passage
Use a small (3/32") punch to poke a hole in it, then use the punch to rock it out. Warning!!! Don't ram that punch in there too far. Just enough to go through the plug.
Lay the new one in the cavity, dome up. Then use a large, flat rod to flatten it out, which expands it tightly in the hole. DO NOT go beyond flat, or it will get loose again.
You might be able to get the tip out that way. And maybe not. As a last ditch effort, drill a hole opposite the tip so you can get a straight shot at it with a small punch or something. Then you have a drilled hole to plug. Be thankful for JB Weld.
