I have been having issues with a slow starter on my 98 Force 120. I read in the forum to clean off the battery connections. I was a little skeptical because they looked clean anyway but got out my Dremil and cleaned them up. It started right away and I was really happy. It started fine the next time as well. However the third time I am right back to the slow starter. Only about a week has transpired. It's just really slow and won't turn fast enough to start the motor. Any thoughts?

Thank you

Try putting a lockwasher on each side of the wire terminal and then tighten the wingnut. The lockwashers tend to bite through corrosion and ensure a better connection. You can also try coating them with a little dielectric grease available at auto stores. I use this stuff on my batteries and trailer electrical connections.

Do a compression/spark test just in case.
Then if the connections are good and it still won't turn take the starter apart and clean the insides.J
