I have a 1996 120 HP Force OB. When I pull boat from water & set on trailer, a very small amount of coffee colored oil/water mix will leak from the water intake vents on lower unit. Could this be caused by oil/gas residue when motor is turn off & tilted up? Do not see anywhere else. Not enough to run down lower unit. I probably should check the LU oil but the leakage is very small & smells of gas. -- Thanks

Small amounts of two cycle oil exhaust residue is considered normal for a two stroke outboard. However in your case ,due to location of weepage,it may be attributable to a leaky inner exhaust housing gasket. This would allow some twocycle exhaust leakage into the midsection water cavity.

Thanks OB. I appreciate your thoughts & sharing of knowledge. I am not much with OB motors so I think this site and help like yous is great. It sounds like I can probably wait til the end of the season and have checked/repaired.
