Small button of metal on anti -cavitation plate

Was looking at a pontoon boat a couple days ago. The motor, an 89 25 horse Johnson had a small button of metal
on the anti-cavitation plate. So would that be an anode? Tegards, old jim

Yup, I'd bet that's an anode. Usually some type of zinc alloy I believe.
