I was winterizing and cleaning my boat (22 proline) when I noticed on the bottom of the hull (right at the "v") that there was some small damage. three spots total. two of the spots look like little dents with a spiderweb effect. The other spot is similar but has a small piece of the boat missing (brown spot among the white surface).
A). Is this a serious problem which will require the manufacturer or can it be repaired by a local marina.
B). What is the method of repair & approximate cost? I want to know if I am being ripped off

Re: SMALL HOLE IN BOAT

As a retired bodyman and having repaired several boats and done a lot of fiberglass work Ill do my best! If these are just little spots (the size of a dime or so) and are not clear through or clearly visable, you could just leave them alone! But if they bother you , as they would me then this is an easy fix! Make sure the spots are dry, lightly sand them with #150 grit paper, Go to the local hardware store and find a small package of white, (usuming your hull is white)epoxy resin! The makup of this is very close to gelcoat! Mix it up and using a small putty knife fill the hole or dent, use sparingly, no more than needed to fill the imperfection, then put a piece of clear tape over it! When dry ( usually overnight) peel the tape off!

Hasbeen
