Yep, some real nice fish! I thought that big one at the end was going to whip your but in the boat.:lol:

Do you realize that those fish are a type of Snapper and have a high table quality?

The big one was a lot of trouble before he got to the boat and didn't get any easier to handle once aboard.

We are not great cooks in my house so I usually return fish if I can.

I am guessing the big one was around 15 years old. As he managed to avoid the commercial fishing pressure in the area long enough to get to that size, he deserves to go back and spread some more of his genes rather than end up as a sub standard meal in my house.

Great day though, must have returned 20+ fishing in about 2 and a half hours before the bite went off.

The little 7 foot spinning rod is amazing for this type of inshore action, so good its the only rod I have ever bought two of.
