Small seat issue

Pulling out the seats of the new to me stratos 290 and i noticed that one back seat was just laid in a hole nothing supporting it. the other wont come out.

you can kind of see the replacement seat here. this one was just set in the other i cant move.

the one post i have showed this is the mounting hardware.

I guess my question is the top suppose to just slide out of the bottom piece or is there a release?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but the picture shows the complete pedestal assembly that fits into a socket in the deck.

Yes most seats of this type are held in by the sitters weight.

ahh so there suppose to be held in by weight. The confusing question i was asking is I have one of these i cant get out i cant see under i didnt know if was bolted down in some way. My guess is its just stuck im afraid to pull to hard on it.
