Smaller Air Bleed = More Gas to Motor?

I've got an '86 Evinrude 140 with a fuel problem (ie. the motor isn't getting enough during acceleration). I've tried many things such as cleaning carbs/jets, installing carb kits (floats, needle valves, etc), replacing fuel primer bulb, replacing fuel filter, decarbing motor, etc.

I'm running out of things to try and thought I might experiment with replacing the intermediate jets with a different size. Would a smaller intermediate jet (air bleed?), result in less air therefore more fuel going to motor or visa versa?

As always, many thanks in advance.

Cheers.

read a post here that talked about installing
a small elec. gas pump to solve this problem
and give a little extra gas when needed. try
a search, believe it was an automotive part.
good luck
M.Y.
