I saw the sticky and am sure this is asked a lot, but every transom is different. My buddy has a 17' 92 Stingray 536 that he is installing Smart Tabs on. He wants to make sure the placement is perfect before drilling :)

The transom is angled as well, so he is hoping someone can tell him how high up too.

A picture is worth a thousand words:

The local marina told him he wouldn't install them, because of the foam filled pods. Said there was not a good way to mount to those.

The local Marina does not have the latest info. Check this link on our web site. http://www.nauticusinc.com/pdf/ss_smart_tabs_dimensions.pdf

The ST1290-60 or 80 should work on this transom. If the boat has a V8 then use the ST1290-80. If it has a 4 or 6 cyl I/O use the ST1290-60.

Call us when you are ready to install them and we will walk you through it.

Sweet! I believe that is what he has. He picks the boat and tabs up from the marina in the am. We will attemp to install them ourselves.

Can you tell me where on the messuring tape the transome bracket goes? We will have to mount it directly underneath the foam pod.

Thanks for responding.
