I recently got some smart tabs and haven't installed them yet.

do the retractor kits mount within the same holes you mount the smart tabs mounts too? I am thinking of mounting the tabs now and maybe doing the retractor kit later..but i don't want a new set of holes in my boat.

Anybody know?

I emailed Nauticus but apparently replying to email isn't part of their support plan.

I think the pro troller kit has the brackets that you need but you mount them the opposite way to go up locked and not down. I asked the same question here and did not get a reply. I decided to get the bennett sports tabs instead so I can lock them up when needed but still waiting for a reply from them also about size tabs I can use.

No the retractor kits do not use the same holes as the standard mount. The retractor bracket uses vertical holes, the regular bracket is horizontal holes.

If you are installing the trim tabs now why not go ahead and use the retractor brackets?

They give you the flexibility to retract the tabs while in shallow water and I personally would not have the tabs without them! I put mine up while launching the boat or in shallow water conditions.

I learned the hard way, I broke a tab backing up in shallow water!
BTW, I have found a phone call is the best way to get info. Greg at Nauticus has answered several questions for me and seems to always be available via telephone.
