Smart Tab SX Instalation Question

Hi everyone,I finally got my smart tab sx tabs in the mail,just in time for the weekend.The instructions are pretty basic,was just wondering how deep to drill the holes.Found a couple of posts saying 1.5 inches,but the screws are only a half an inch long. I did purchase a tube of 3m 5200 to seal the holes.Any help would be great as I wanna get them installed tonight.Thanks for your time reading this,,Odie

I just installed mine a few weeks ago... LOVE THEM...

mark on your drillbit the length of th screw... Drill just a slight bit deeper.. couple 8ths of an inch... Thats all

Just be sure to get them deep enough they don't bottom out or they will crack the glass.

Thanks guys for the help.I did take your advice,got them installed before I lost light.I do have a tri-hull so it was kind of a hit and miss thing for me.Heres the before and after photos since we all like photos.Hope I installed them in the correct place,i did watch the video and it said 3 to 5 inches from the outside.Lets here some good feedback hopefully
