Smart Tabs and transom tie downs

Hey fellow boaters,
My Smart Tabs SX just arrived yesterday and I can't wait to mount them and try them out. I do have a concern I seek advise on before I start drilling.
I previously had worried about the ladder on my old boat being in the way, but after pre-fitting the tabs, that is not the case. My issue is the transom tie down straps will not clear the Smart Tabs. I am curious if anyone else has had this problem?
Looks like the fix would be to:
1.) Buy a long one-piece strap that goes around the top rear of the boat?
2.) Try to re-route the straps using existing tow points on the boat and new attach points on the trailer? (Not sure if this would work on my old EZ-Loader.)
3.) Drill even more holes through my transom and mount two more tow points closer to the outdrive? (Drilling more holes through my boat is my least favorite option.)
Thank-you in advance for any suggestions. Here's a pic. of the back of my boat.

Re: Smart Tabs and transom tie downs

Rather than change the tie-down points on the boat, change the tie-down points on the trailer. Any machine shop should be able to do that quickly & cheaply. Take it home, slap some paint on it and you're done!
