After quite a bit of deliberation and plenty of input from guys here on the forums, and after reading everything I could find on the subject of trim tabs. I have taken the plunge and purchased the Smart Tabs II for big boats.
I will be the guinea pig I guess and let everyone know how well these work for my 25ft Chris Craft. I purchased the ST1610-160 designed for boats that weigh between 6500 and 8500 lbs.
These Tabs encompass a 16 x 10 inch plate, and two 80 lbs actuators per side. I hope that these will be as pleasant an addition on my large boat as they have been for so many with smaller boats.
I should have them in a few days, will get them mounted up, and will water test on Oct. 2nd.
Updates to follow the water test.
