Hello everyone!

I just ordered my Smart Tabs set (ST1290-80 150-240 hp) and I'm wondering how to install them on my boat.
As you can see on pictures there are hull fins all the way to the back of boat.
Will that transition from hull fins to Smart tabs (flat) be ok?
How and where would you place tabs?

Thnx for any kind of answer

cheers

Re: Smart Tabs mounting

Those "hull fins" are actually called strakes. I would not worry about them at all and I would go as far out on the flat surface of the transom as you can. The design of your hull seems to make it perfect for tab placement as you can only go so far and you will not get into the chine which is that last big hull fin before the bottom becomes the side. Should be cake!!

BTW, welcome aboard!!!

Re: Smart Tabs mounting

Thank you! I found great tips here already, and I'm glad i ended up here! :)

I'll keep you posted how will mounting go!

One other thing; I'll have to put zinc anodes on smart tabs.
Do you have any idea what bolts to use when fastening anodes or how to drill tabs? and where?

Thank you for your answers!
