Hey guys, im a newb here. i have a question that hopefully someone here can help me with.
I just purchased a 2002 22 walk proline with a blow 225 optimax that had the smartcraft gauges on it. I now have a 2006 200 optimax on there, however, the boat that it came off of did not have smartgauges, just analog. I purchased an adapter that allowed me to get the engine to start and tilt and trim to work, however, the gauges went haywire after the engine turned on. rpm shot up and down and speedo did aswell. i read over a thread on how to install smartcraft gauges, and none of the wires that are being used in that forum are being used on my engine right now. anyway. can anyone here tell me what i need to purchase to get this to work on my new engine. Im hoping that i can reuse some of the old stuff that is on the boat. Let me know. thanks

Re: Smartcraft Gauge help

are you saying the smartcraft gauges went haywire after you started the "new" engine, or the analog gauges did?? If it was your existing smartcraft gauges, you may have to do a "master reset" to get the gauges to self detect the new engine. Also you may have to get the ECM reprogrammed as the "starboard engine"

You also have wrote that none of the cables or connections I have described in my "how to install a smartcraft system forum" are being used on the engine??? that would mean your smartcraft gauges are not connected......

Hope this helps.
