Smelly Hot Water

Has anyone else had any issues with the Hot Water smelling like sewage in their boat. Mine is an electric Hot Water heater and I have flushed it several times to no avail. Other than replacing it I am not sure what else to do about it. Bleach maybe. Any suggestions ??

I have had the bad smell in a RV tank. The solution was to just keep running water through it.

Are you sure it's the hot water and not the disturbed bacteria in the drain?

If it has a sacrifical anode, make sure it's made of aluminum/zinc alloy rod. A Magnesium or aluminum anode will cause "stinky" water.
