smoke and presure ??

I have a 4.2 mercruiser alpha 1 in a vip 2001 and is runing good but when im run the engine stop, is smoking not to much but when i muve faster stop, and the presure gauge reads 30 when im regulating but more than 40 when moving fast
? Any sugestion ????

Are you saying that when you idle down after running that the engine smokes? Where is the smoke coming from, exhaust manifold, cylinder head, exhaust, is the smoke inside the engine compartment? What guage are you looking at? An oil pressure guage will vary when warm, from idle to open throttle.

yes when i idle smoke from the exhaust i think it caming from the propeler unther water , inside the engine compartment is good ,not smoke , and the guage im looking at is the oil presure , when idle is like 20 and running 40 +

Nothing wrong with those oil pressure readings!

And since the exhaust is fed through the prop, I wouldn't be too concerned....
