smoke everywhere

my 1990 evinrude 120 is not idling out and smoke is inhibiting the docks what is the cause of this?

it is either flooding or you put to much oil inthe gass. i would say it is flooding [ to much gass ] your float could be stuck open . pump primer bulb if it dont git tight then you have a open carb or could be a hole in fuelpump.

fuelpump difram that is had that to happen on my 55 evinrude it didnt smoke bad it just wouldnt pump up tight just pump excess gass in the motor . but it had sit for 7 years before i bought it cleaned the carbs new fuelpump runs great papasage :)

thanks alot reel appeal and popasage the primer fills up fine, i will definately take a look at the fuel pump and see if it something i can touch.<br />I appreciate the input my expertise is on causing problems not fixing them

While the engine is idling, place your hand on the VRO and see if it has a slow pulse or a quick one. If there is an air leak on the fuel side, it will pump quickly and burn bunches of oil. If the pump is thumping slowly, its doing OK.
