hello all,

Question: I have a 1988 sea ray with 4.3l that has not been in the water for months. I started it 4 weeks ago and the boat was fine. It has been sitting since then because of work being done to it. Lower end rebiult and new shift cable. Started it the other day and it idled fine no issue but there is a little white smoke coming out of the exhaust ( had muffs on). let sit for 10 minutes running no issues gave it a little rev fine. No alarms heat is fine oil pressure fine. I did not check pressure yet of clyinders but will. I live in mass the only thing I can think of is maybe some water in fuel. We have had a lot of rain lately. Any ideas or overly concerned.

Re: Smoke

Was it early in the morning? Was it cool out? Lot of possibilities, but I wouldn't worry about it other than checking the oil level and making sure it is okay.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply i forgot to add some stuff in. It was about 65 light rain. I checked the oil and it was new still no milk. I checked the oil level couple of times and stayed the same.

Re: Smoke

just a thought but I think it was just condinsation you were seeing. when you take it out and run it hard you will probably see that it has cleared up?
