Snaps for canvas cover - no clue what this is!

I'm hoping to rely on the experts here as this is our first year of boating. :) The cover that came with our boat is in great shape except for the ties, which seem to be fraying.

The canvas cover has grommets located around the tarp. Through these grommets are bungee cords attached to some sort of snap (fabric is the same material).

Two are missing and two are frayed so I want to replace all 12. But what the heck do I buy? I've searched everywhere possible but perhaps I'm not using the right term as "bungee cord snaps" only brings up YouTube videos of people plummeting into ravines.

I've attached a photo (apologies for the quality) in case this helps. I don't even care if there is an alternative to what I'm looking for but this will give you the general idea.

Anyone able to be the hero? :) Thank you in advance!

I've seen similar types, not shure where to get them. Try a good canvass shop in your area, they may have to be custom made.

Looks like your snaps are ok. You can go to you local fabrics store and you can get a spool of replacement. "Shock cord" never been able to find this in UV stable. Good luck.

Those are custom made. Looks like its just some webbing folded over and a snap installed.

Not the best way to attach a cover to a boat as the previous poster said, those bungees won't last but maybe the boat design dictates it.

Thanks all. I called a local boat canvas shop and they're going to make them for me with scrap canvas. Perfect! :) I agree it's not ideal, but it'll do, and replacing cord is quite easy and inexpensive compared to a mooring cover overhaul.

Sorry for the duplicate post. The site keeps telling me there was a database failure and then it tells me I'm flooding the forum. So frustrating.

When I get the database error after I post, I just reload the page to see that my post actually made it. I usually copy my text before I do that in the cases where I have done much typing.
