The harbour cover snaps bases are attahed with self tapping screws. Couple of them are ripped of from the hull. The remaining hole is unfortunately so big that any screw still going through the base won't be big enough to catch any material. And I cant access them from behind...so what are my options here, any suggestions?

There are larger screw snaps available. Alternatively you can replace the screw with a pop rivet.

the standard screw is a #8.

they make snaps with #10 screws and snaps without screws so you can use a machine screw and a nut

if you can get access to the backside. get a snap without a screw and use a machine screw, backing washer and a nut.

if you cant get access, try the #10 screw snaps or fill the hole with marine tex epoxy and shove the screw in the hole and then let the epoxy cure.

Fixed a couple of mine using marine-Tex.

Follow the directions to repair stripped holes on the box

I used the epoxy method, also, and the screw-snaps have held for years. PC-11 (from ACE Hardware) will work, too. It's pretty similar to MarineTex.
