So what are the requirements for a boat in the water?

I mean like the coast guard regulations I have looked them up and read them myself, but when I talk to people I always here different things.... I'm in oregon so that is what I a specifically talking about..... To my knowledge.... for around a 20' boat you need,<br /><br />Life jackets,<br />throw able life thingy.. <br />Fire estinguisher,<br />Flares (if in ocean)<br />Distress flag??<br /><br />Proper ventilation and all the other good stuff.<br /><br />so what do you know aobut it?<br />dave
